Nuts!

Does anyone have a nut allergy? Specifically, walnuts?

If you are one of those people who is opposed to nuts in cookies due to texture, do not fear! These are ground up very fine. And I say this as one of those people opposed to nuts in baked goods, in general.

(In knitting-related matters, I'm on take three of this f*#@ing bobbi bear.)

Cookie Swap Updates

1.) The number of the counting is currently 7:
  • Josh and I are combined for 1 (this way we don't have to fight over kitchen space)
  • Amber
  • Jen
  • Tiffany
  • Abbey
  • Jane
  • Will

2.) 7 dozen cookies is a lot. So we decided yesterday that a half-dozen cookies per person is plenty. If you want to bring more, awesome.

3.) This is supposed to be fun, not stressful. If you aren't up to making cookies, store-bought are fine. Or don't bring anything, just enjoy the cookies that others bring. Or bring a toy for Dunn Bros. Toys for Tots box.

This is important -- Cookies!

Last week we officially declared that _next week_ Wednesday, December 21st will be the First Annual Fight Knit Club Cookie Swap.

The rules are simple: Bring a dozen cookies for each participant. In return _you_ will get a dozen cookies for each participant!

Since we'll need to know how many cookies to bake, please post a comment here (or email me so I can post here, or show up this Wednesday and let us know) that you are in.

You can't stack your family

So this is the video I was talking about last week and meant to post:

Nicholas and I have been quoting it all the time.
