Paying Rent

I managed to lose my checkbook earlier this week. This was bad because I had to pay rent and the end of the month was coming sooner than normal. I had gotten the idea in my batshitcrazy head that the checkbook had fallen in the yarn stash. So I started to organize.



That's the leftovers from the good-good yarn. Notice my bad taste in TV. Yeah, I have no excuse.



This is unused good-good yarn. Ok, there is possibly some ok-good yarn that I have BIG PLANS for in the near future.



This is a pile of active projects and miscellaneous yarn. You can't tell, but there is a system. Any project that I liked enough, I threw into a plastic bag to keep all the supplies together.

I did eventually find my checkbook. It was in my old purse.

Hooky.

I said this last week, but this week I'm REALLY not going to make it. I have to go to the mall and pickup something they're holding for me, and after that I am not up for driving all the way back up to the middle of the city. Sorry!

The Yarn Harlot is coming back!

The Yarnery is hosting the Yarn Harlot again now that her new book is almost released.

I dragged Amber to this last time around, and she seemed to enjoy herself despite the estrogen-rich environment and certain people being dorky about Canadian trivia.

I've got two tickets on hold for me at the Yarnery, you guys should grab tickets too!

(btw, I'm thinking of yarnventuring through St. Paul sometime this weekend, partially to pick up the tickets, and also because I have a hankering for something pretty, and I think that between Borealis, the Yarnery, and 3 Kittens, I should be able to find it).

I almost forgot yarn.

I had to turn around and go back home when I was a block away because I realized I'm close to a color change and forgot to grab the color-change yarn. So, we're on for tonight right?

So it's all handmade items... Sunday, February 10th at 10 AM at the uptown VFW. Click through for details and stuff. It looks like it could be fun. I'm lifting my ban on buying anything new in the month of February for this event only. I've justified it in my head, but I fear it isn't logical. Like, wanting to buy another messanger bag knowing full and well I have plenty of functional ones at home.

No snow-pocalypse is scheduled for this evening as far as I know.

I turned down hockey tickets for knit night, so we better be meeting. :)
