Star Wars 101

Y'all are a little unedumacated on the Star Wars. I will be holding the first remedial Galaxy Far, Far Away class tonight at the Loring Dunn Bros, sometime after 5pm til the last call for espresso beverages (9-ish).

There may be some props.

Secondly - WRT traps and the like:
I was apparently wrong about Admiral Ackbar only saying one line, but it is still true that he only said one line that mattered. Here's youtube of the pivotal scene.

This vid gives an example of how the good Admiral has generally been abused in popular internet culture.

Finally, I should point you all towards knowyourmeme.com. It's the place to go when you hear a reference but have no clue what it means. It, combined with urbandictionary.com will help you to become hip to all of the current internet hop, without having to go to very bad places like /b/ (no link, because it is a very bad place).

Knitting is an ultra low-key event tonight, Jumi and Amber are at some kind of game and since nobody else shows up until 7:30 or so, I really do not want to sit there from 4:45 til then with nobody to talk to, except for any characters that show up and talk to themselves and then sort of want to include me on the conversation.

Some Assembly Required

Amber's latest pattern is up for sale now on Ravelry!

I've heard tell that it might remind some people of a Lego* minifig, but who knows where that crazy lady gets her ideas?

Here's the blurb from the Ravelry pattern page:

Some Assembly Required is a pattern that will enable you to make an adorable toy that can be taken apart and put together again. The head, torso, and legs are independent pieces, so you could make multiple pieces in different colors and they would be interchangeable.

I’ve included a tutorial on boxes and edges so you can make nice crisp corners. The tutorial isn’t necessary to make the toy, but it may be helpful.
